Inventory & Maintenance Lead (Back of House) – CFA Beechwood FSULocation: Athens Chick-fil-A Beechwood, 196 Alps Road, Athens, GA 30606, USAPosition Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewThe Inventory & Maintenance Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the back-of-house (BOH) operates efficiently, safely, and in an organized manner. This position is responsible for overseeing all inventory systems, maintaining kitchen equipment, and facilities, while also supporting the BOH General Manager with making the weekly team member schedules.Additionally, this role includes working in various positions in the BOH and adhering to the following responsibilities:Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standardsBe knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prepStock kitchen inventory as neededKeep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all timesKeep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-AWork safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership, while proactively looking for solutionsMaintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changesComplete all opening or closing tasks as assignedAdhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all timesOther duties as assignedThis is a leadership role focused on organization, accountability, BOH operations, and continuous improvement within the kitchen environment.CompensationPay: $15 - 17/hour (40 hours per week)Development: Ongoing coaching and feedback from Kitchen GM, Assistant GM, and GM. Managing supply chain systems, inventory, and restaurant maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementOversee ordering for all inventory categories (produce, chicken, and truck orders)Maintain accurate inventory systems, including daily orders and appropriate safety stock levelsOversee and manage food cost systems to ensure all deliveries are checked off, and that team has the proper procedures in place for portioning.Conduct mid-month and end-of-month inventory countsTrain others and develop team members on proper ordering and inventory processesEnsure proper product organization, labeling, and storage standardsMaintenance & FacilitiesOversee maintenance of all kitchen and front-of-house equipment (some through external contractors and others through our own internal systems)Coordinate and communicate repair needs and completed work with leadershipManage preventative maintenance schedules (e.g., boil-outs, gasket replacements, deep cleaning)Maintain cleaning and maintenance checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly tasksEnsure overall organization and cleanliness of BOH spacesLeadership & Systems SupportBuild and lead a High-Performance Leadership Team (HPLT) to support inventory and maintenance systemsPartner with BOH leadership to improve operational systems and kitchen efficiencyDrive innovation by identifying and implementing improvements in BOH processesEnsure adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standardsCommunication & AccountabilityProvide weekly updates to BOH leadership on inventory and maintenance projectsRespond promptly to communication (text/email) regarding responsibilitiesConduct monthly check-ins with team members involved in inventory and maintenanceTrack and report on food cost performance and system effectivenessDaily & Weekly ExpectationsManage shared table (community donation program) and waste tracking twice dailyMaintain inventory accuracy and kitchen organizationEnsure completion of all cleaning and maintenance schedules.What We're Looking ForStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead and develop othersHigh attention to detail and accountabilityProactive mindset with a desire to improve systemsStrong communication and follow-throughWork Schedule8 hour shiftWeekend availabilityMonday to FridayBenefitsFlexible scheduleEmployee discountPaid trainingOther#J-18808-Ljbffr
