Responsibilities will include collaboration and communications with compliance, quality control, distribution, material operations, bottling operations, special services, winemaking, customer service, and supply chain planning.Functional ResponsibilityEssential DutiesProvides Distribution and Material Operations Departments with strategies optimizing bin efficiencies and picking operationsMonitors and maintains accurate inventory (case and bin) for both raw materials and finished goods using cycle countsCoordinates with Quality Control and Winemaking inventory holds/releases and ensures inventory determinations are carried outValidates availability of finished case good and/or materials inventoryWorks closely with customer service, compliance and quality control to transact inventory changes accuratelySupports Distribution, Customer Service, Materials Operations, Quality Control, and Compliance teams through timely reconciliation of inventory variances and adjustmentsMakes transfers of materials and finished goods between Delicato Family Wines (DFW) locations in accordance with guidelines as requiredReviews outbound and inbound documentation to ensure transactional accuracyAnalyzes inventory volumes and forecasts, bottle age requirements and shipment velocity trends to develop inventory placement strategiesPerforms necessary functions for scheduled and unscheduled inventory cycle countsMaintains necessary files and documentationProduces and maintains various inventory and shipping reports and summarizes resultsTransacts SAP (ERP Software) moves to accurately process inventoryExecutes activities in SAP related to production demandCollaborates with planning and production to optimize scheduling and material availabilityWorks with Compliance, Customer Service, Distribution, Planning and other customers to ensure all documentation is processed accuratelyCommunicates with internal and external suppliers / customers to coordinate material deliveries as appropriateReceives materials for production lines including subcon POS (Point of Sale)Provides administrative support to Distribution and Material Operations Departments which includes ordering supplies, maintaining scorecards and communicating to internal and external customersMakes improvement recommendations and implements solutions that support production / business strategies that support internal and external customersCommunicates cost center spend and provides detail of variations to monthly budgetAssists in drafting annual budget for cost centerProvides assistance in establishing performance objectivesPerforms routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customersProvides information to management with regard to KPI performanceCarries out Skilled Material Handler duties, if neededAssists with project implementation and special projects as assignedOther duties may be assignedNon-Essential DutiesOther duties may be assignedMinimum RequirementsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Three or more years direct or related experience in an inventory or logistics role.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesRequires excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Experience involving customer contact, problem resolution, and related product knowledge. The pay range for this position is $23.35 to $36.55. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
