Internal Applicants Only Classified: Maintenance Supervisor JobID: 4664 Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Maintenance SupervisorDate Posted: 8/31/2026Location: Desert Edge High School Closing Date: 09/04/2026 Additional Information: Show/HideJOB DESCRIPTION SupervisorTITLE: Maintenance Supervisor FTE: 1.0FLSA STATUS: Exempt WORK CALENDAR: 260-262 daysCOMPENSATION: Classified Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting Salary: $58,148) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.Coordinates, supervises, and participates in campus maintenance services and custodial activities2.Inspects campus buildings, grounds and athletic fields; issues work orders to make necessary repairs and inspects completed work3.Confers with District administration, building principals and other parties in making plans for planning, maintenance, and use of various school grounds and buildings4.Interprets plans and sketches in the carrying out of projects5.Coordinates with the site Principal and the Director of Maintenance and/or Maintenance Manager for interviews, screening and recommending personnel for employment6.Supervises and trains staff in safety, equipment operation, and maintenance skills7.Approve all maintenance and custodial employee absences8.Approve all maintenance and custodial employee time sheets and edits for payroll9.Procures supplies and equipment and services within budget capacity10. Ensures tools and maintenance equipment are properly maintained11. Establishes personnel work schedules, oversees day-to-day performances and conducts evaluations as required12.Remains on the school premises during and after school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and their attendance is required13Responds to alarms and call-outs on nights and weekends14.Complies with safety rules and regulations and meets OSHA requirements15.Represents consistently the District in a positive and professional manner16.Maintains confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues17.Provides a welcoming atmosphere in all areas of responsibility18.Performs responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner19.Maintains punctual and regular attendance20.Performs other job related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
