We're adding Service Technicians and welcome both experienced pros and motivated newcomers.What will you do?Install and service a variety of commercial doors using the appropriate equipment.Pinpoint and repair issues with springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.Install and fine-tune hardware: locks, handles, closers, and access control systems.Verify that all work complies with safety and building codes.Deliver clear, friendly service—explain your findings and offer cost-effective solutions.Document visits, parts, processes, and outcomes; submit accurate reports.Troubleshoot efficiently to restore performance and reliability.Conduct final quality checks aligned with Vortex standards.Why choose Vortex?Industry-best training.Commercial/retail door opening, hardware, and storefront glazing training.Manual operated doors and dock equipment training for industrial openings.Hollow metal door, frame, and hardware training.Strong safety culture and a supportive team environment.Recognition and rewards for great work.Comprehensive health benefits, 401K match, 8 company paid holidays, and PTO.Company-provided uniforms and an annual boot allowance.When will you work?Full-time shifts are available between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday (Vortex business hours), with potential overtime and on-call needs.What do you need to succeed?High school diploma or equivalent.2+ years in commercial door service is a plus (not required).Knowledge of door types, brands, and hardware is a plus.Comfort with hand and power tools.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to do math with fractions and read a tape measure accurately.Solid communication and customer service abilities.Detail orientation and a commitment to quality work.Understanding of safety regulations and adherence to protocols.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Lift up to 50 lbs; frequently lift/bend; climb ladders up to 20'; work on knees for extended periods; safely operate power tools.Additional ongoing training provided.Sound like you?If you thrive on solving mechanical challenges and making customers' days easier, we want to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
