HR Assistant / Recruiter
We're looking for an HR Assistant / Recruiter to join our team in Duluth, GA, with 50% travel to our Tennessee manufacturing facilities in Cookeville (TMF) and McMinnville. You'll own full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles — sourcing, screening, offers, and onboarding — while keeping day-to-day HR operations running on the ground. Think of this as a true generalist seat: part talent acquisition, part HR support, all hands-on.

Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Comfortable with 50% regional travel between Georgia and Tennessee
- Execute full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions (e.g., welders, fabricators, machine operators, supervisors)
- Source candidates using job boards, approved staffing agencies, referrals, and community partnerships
Onboarding & New Hire Coordination:
- Coordinate new hire orientation logistics and documentation
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding packets, and pre-employment requirements
- Facilitate background checks, drug screenings, and employment verification
- Ensure timely system entry (HRIS/payroll) and badge/access setup
- Partner with supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding and training alignment
HR Administrative Support:
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with documentation standards
- Assist with benefits enrollment, employee inquiries, and HR communications
- Support payroll processing by verifying new hire and status change information
- Track attendance, turnover metrics, and recruitment KPIs
- Assist in audits, compliance reporting, and internal investigations as needed
Employee Relations Support:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate
- Support disciplinary documentation and performance management processes
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Personal Attributes)
Education & Experience:
- Minimum - Associate's (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of experience in high volume recruiting, HR administration, or talent acquisition
- Experience in manufacturing or high-volume hiring environments strongly preferred
Technical Skills:
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Oracle, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reporting, formatting)
- Familiarity with multi-state employment practices is a plus
