The Roles:

Occupational Therapist, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant,Occupational Therapist Assistant

What You'll Do:

Occupational Therapist:

• Responsible for utilizing purposeful activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes, maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or a learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition
• Assumes the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient's treatment program, and implementing/directing the program

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants:

• Functions under the supervision of a physical therapist to provide patient care and support activities, as outlined in the patient plan of care and according to the Federal and State guidelines

Occupational Therapist Assistants:

• Functions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care and support activities, as outlined in the patient's plan of treatment.
• In conjunction with the Occupational Therapist, utilizes a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the development and/or rehabilitation of patients with physical, cognitive, visual/perceptual, visual-motor and functional deficits as related to Activities of Daily Living.
• Provides quality, cost effective treatment to SMHCS customers and provides patient, family, and/or caregiver education.
• Submits concise, accurate, and complete documentation and charges.

Location: SMNRC 5640 Rand Blvd Sarasota, FL 34238

Shift Availability: able to offer later start dates

Occupational Therapist: Full-time, Part-time, PRN Plan 2 (48 hours in a two week pay periord), PRN Plan 1 (a minimum of one (1) shift per pay period)

Occupational Therapist Assistants: PRN Plan 1 (a minimum of one (1) shift per pay period)

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants: PRN Plan 1 (a minimum of one (1) shift per pay period)

Required Qualifications

The Requirements:

Occupational Therapist:

• FL OT: Florida Occupational Therapist
• BLS: Basic Life Support (Preferred)

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants:

• Current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant licensure
• AS: Associate of Science
• BLS: Basic Life Support (Preferred)

Occupational Therapist Assistants:

• Current State of Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure (PTA)
• AS: Associate of Science
• BLS: Basic Life Support (Preferred)
