Meat & Seafood Associate Purpose: This position focuses primarily on helping customers, stocking product and making product for the Meat & Seafood Department. Status: Full-time, $17.00/hour Supervisor: Meat and Seafood Manager Job Responsibilities: - Service customers at the Meat & Seafood counter and on the sales floor
- Offer suggestions for purchase and preparation in a friendly, courteous manner
- Report customer suggestions, comments, and complaints to appropriate Manager
- Maintain awareness of customers and co-workers throughout the department to ensure premium customer service
- Stock product from deliveries and product made from production
- Make sausage and ground beef using grinder and in adherence to standard operating procedures
- See that displays are replenished, rotated, and checked for quality
- Ensure product is accurately labeled and signed if needed
- Perform simple meat or seafood cuts upon customer request
- Receive orders in accordance with established procedures
- Take meat and seafood special orders or pre-orders and handle those orders
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and assigned cleaning tasks
