Houlihan's Restaurant + Bar is seeking a Front of House Manager with open availability, capable of opening and closing, with the following qualities and qualifications:ResponsibilitiesManage logistical aspects of front of house operationsEstimate and order/purchase foods, liquors, wines or other beverages, and suppliesSupervise front of house staff, including developing weekly schedules, hiring and training staff, and coaching to Four‑Diamond standardsUtilize leadership skills to motivate employees to ensure cost control and labor managementHost, run Expo, serve, prep and cook meals when needed, to ensure customer service and satisfactionInspect the establishment and observe workers and patrons, ensuring compliance with occupational, health and safety standards and liquor regulationsEnsure paperwork accuracy, such as daily sales summary reports and payroll recordsSupervise and coordinate receptions with high‑profile guestsCollaborate with the Marketing Manager to monitor and update signage and run marketing campaignsQualifications5 years of food and beverage experience and at least 3 years of management experienceConfident decision‑makerExcellent communication skillsMotivator with superior team‑building capabilitiesHigh level of commitment to exceptional customer serviceGood organizational and time‑management skillsBrings positive energy to the workplace and works well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environmentStrong work ethic and attention to detailsFlexible work schedule, available weekdays and weekendsKnowledge of POS and MS Office programs, cash and credit‑card handling skillsKnowledge of office paperwork including purchasing, ordering, scheduling and inventoryKnowledge of food inventory and cost controlCertification in TIPS, Illinois State Health standards, and Bartending License desired but not requiredDeep understanding of all operational aspects of a professional kitchen, casual dining room, and busy bar areasWillingness to work hands‑on with staff to ensure guests receive a positive, memorable, repeatable visitProven trustworthiness to execute opening & closing proceduresFor full‑time employees, a health benefits package, 401(k), paid vacation and bonus structure are offered.Houlihan's Restaurant + Bar is located at 1902 S.
