    Position Overview
    We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Escrow Officer & Branch Manager to lead our Southern California office. This dual-functioning role requires a unique blend of technical escrow expertise and operational leadership. You will be responsible for managinga full desk of diverse files-including residential resale, refinances, and commercial transactions-while overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and growth of the branch.

    As an independent escrow company, we pride ourselves on our neutral third-party status and our commitment to the strict standards of the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) .

    Key Responsibilities

    Escrow Desk Management
    • Full Cycle Processing: Manage escrow transactions from opening to closing, including initial setup, title report review, demand requests, and preparation of grant deeds.
    • Document Preparation: Generate accurate escrow instructions, amendments, and closing statements (CD/ALTA).
    • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers to ensure a seamless "on-time " closing experience.
    • Fund Management: Oversee the receipt and disbursement of funds, ensuring all accounting is balanced and compliant with DFPI regulations.
    Branch Leadership & Operations
    • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor escrow assistants and junior officers, providing guidance on complex file issues and professional development.
    • Compliance: Ensure the branch adheres to all state and federal regulations and Cyber Security protocols.
    • Business Development: Maintain and grow relationships with local real estate brokerages and lending partners in the Southern California market.
    • Audit Readiness: Oversee office file maintenance to ensure "audit-ready " status at all times.
    Required Qualifications
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Escrow Officer in California, with at least 2 years in a management or "Team Lead " capacity.
    • Licensing: Must be able to pass a background check and be bondable.
    • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Southern California escrow customs, contracts, and local tax requirements
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in escrow software (e.g., RBJ, SoftPro, or SMS) and digital signature platforms.
    Preferred Skills
    • Strong conflict-resolution skills to navigate the "11th-hour " stresses of a closing.
    • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) are highly valued in the Southern California market.
