Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Electronic Test Technician-Level 3 for a contract opportunity in Poway, CA supporting advanced aerospace and defense electronic systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong RF systems experience, excellent electronics fundamentals, and proven ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair printed wiring assemblies and electronic assemblies down to the component level.
You will join a collaborative avionics test environment focused on mission-critical technology, precision workmanship, and high-reliability results. Key Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic assemblies and PWAs down to the component level.
- Operate test equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, function generators, and related tools.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, block diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Perform precision repairs on electrical, electronic, RF, and integrated circuits in a high-reliability environment.
- Document test results, troubleshooting steps, repairs, and findings accurately according to established procedures.
- Follow safety protocols when working with high-voltage, high-energy, high-pressure, and hazardous systems.
- Location: Poway, CA.
- Shift options: 1st shift, 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, or 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Test and troubleshoot aerospace and avionics electronic assemblies to the component level.
- Support RF systems testing, diagnostics, and repair activities.
- Perform setup, testing, analysis, and documentation of experiments and electronic system tests.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to technicians and team members.
- Associate's degree plus 2 or more years of related experience, or 5 or more years of direct experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have hands-on RF system experience.
- Must have experience testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies at the component level.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, including Ohm's Law, AC/DC circuits, AC/DC conversion, op-amp circuits, and electronic theory.
- Experience with RF systems, communications, and RF components such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers.
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, power supplies, function generators, signal generators, LabVIEW, and related programming tools.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-based test environment.
- Ability to maintain eligibility for DoD security clearance requirements.
- Willingness to complete a post-interview technical assessment covering electrical knowledge, electronics formulas, and theory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military or technical school training in test operations, electronics, RF systems, avionics, or experimental operations.
- Active government security clearance.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or other high-reliability electronic systems environments.
- Prior experience using LabVIEW or related programming tools in a test environment.
