Electrical Wire Harness Design Engineer - May 2024-1909, CA
We have an immediate opening for an Aircraft Electrical Design Engineer with our client in Los Angeles area in CA who is working on an A320-200 P2F conversion project.
SUMMARY
- Have current experience developing wiring diagrams.
- Have current experience and knowledge of industry standard parts (wire types, connectors, etc..).
- Have current experience selecting EWIS components.
- Have current experience and familiar with aircraft manuals. Able to research aircraft data in support of specific projects using Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Wiring Diagram Manual Supplements, etc.
- Experience with drafting EOs (Engineering Orders) / DCRs (Design Change Requests) for design change requests utilizing appropriate formats as per company's engineering handbook.
- Interface with internal teams, organizations, customers, airframe manufacturers and/or government agencies to develop multiple program resource requirements, timeline schedules and specification in support of customer.
- Possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary development team environment with designers, Configuration Management and external vendors.
- Work with Certification Configuration Manager to ensure compliance of all aircraft seating and system installations in support of STC applications, FAA regulations, OEM guidelines and customer specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for reviewing and modifying the baseline aircraft schematics.
- Responsible for reviewing and modifying the baseline aircraft wiring diagrams.
- Responsible for creating new wiring diagrams.
- Responsible for creating new schematics.
- Responsible writing test plans and procedures
- Responsible supporting DERs with review of PSCP and CCL
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 Plus years aerospace experience (Senior) - (3-5 years Junior)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferred)
- Experience with Airbus is extremely desirable.
- Experience in FAA Part 25 is extremely desirable.
- Familiar with AS50881, AC4313.1B
- Familiar with FAA Part 25.1701-1 (EWIS)
TOOLS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Teamcenter (PLM)
- ZWCAD/ WCS (AutoCAD)
- CATIA V5 (Desired)
