    Position Title: Position Documentation and Classification Specialist
    Work Location: Remote, Hybrid, or On-site, based on contract requirements
    Job Type: Full-time, Contract

    Summary

    C² Technologies seeks Position Documentation and Classification Specialists to support federal human capital programs. This position develops, reviews, and evaluates position documentation and classification determinations to help maintain accurate, compliant, and mission-aligned organizational structures.

    Responsibilities

    Develop, review, and update federal position descriptions and related documentation
    Conduct position classification evaluations using applicable Office of Personnel Management standards
    Determine appropriate occupational series, title, grade, and Fair Labor Standards Act designation
    Evaluate position duties, organizational relationships, supervisory responsibilities, and qualification requirements
    Conduct desk audits and interviews with supervisors and employees as required
    Prepare classification evaluation statements and supporting documentation
    Advise managers on position design, position management, and classification requirements
    Review organizational charts and functional statements for alignment with position documentation
    Support reorganizations, position reviews, and classification consistency initiatives
    Maintain accurate position descriptions and classification records
    Respond to classification questions and assist with audits, appeals, and compliance reviews
    Protect sensitive employee and organizational information

    Requirements

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field preferred
    Relevant federal classification experience may be considered in place of education requirements

    Experience

    Experience developing and evaluating position descriptions
    Federal position classification experience strongly preferred
    Experience applying Office of Personnel Management classification standards and guides preferred
    Experience supporting position management, organizational design, or classification reviews

    Tools & Systems

    Office of Personnel Management classification standards and guides
    Federal human resources and position management systems
    Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

    Skills

    Knowledge of federal position classification principles and practices
    Strong job-analysis, research, and technical-writing skills
    Ability to interpret and apply classification standards consistently
    Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
    Ability to explain classification decisions clearly to managers and employees
    Ability to manage multiple classification actions and priorities

    Base Salary Range: $50,000 – $100,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
