    Position Title: Payroll and Personnel Processing Specialist
    Work Location: Remote, Hybrid, or On-site, based on contract requirements
    Job Type: Full-time, Contract

    Summary

    C² Technologies seeks Payroll and Personnel Processing Specialists to support federal human capital programs. This position supports the accurate and timely processing of personnel and payroll actions while helping resolve employee pay, leave, benefits, and personnel-record issues.

    Responsibilities

    Review and process federal personnel and payroll actions
    Code personnel actions in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Guide to Processing Personnel Actions
    Review supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
    Process appointments, promotions, reassignments, separations, transfers, pay changes, and other personnel actions
    Research and resolve payroll, leave, service computation date, and personnel-record discrepancies
    Coordinate corrections with human resources, payroll providers, managers, and employees
    Review and update employee data in human resources and payroll systems
    Prepare and review Standard Form 50 and related personnel documentation
    Support timekeeping, leave administration, premium pay, and payroll reconciliation activities
    Track pending actions and ensure completion within established service standards
    Maintain accurate electronic Official Personnel Folder documentation and processing records
    Protect payroll data, personally identifiable information, and sensitive personnel records

    Requirements

    Education

    Associate degree in human resources, business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred
    Bachelor’s degree preferred
    Relevant federal personnel or payroll processing experience may be considered in place of education requirements

    Experience

    Experience processing personnel, payroll, timekeeping, or employee records
    Federal personnel processing experience strongly preferred
    Experience coding personnel actions and reviewing Standard Form 50 documentation preferred
    Experience researching and resolving payroll or personnel discrepancies

    Tools & Systems

    Federal payroll platforms
    Federal personnel processing and electronic Official Personnel Folder systems
    Timekeeping and leave-management systems
    Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

    Skills

    Knowledge of federal personnel action and payroll processes
    Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills
    High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
    Ability to research and resolve complex employee-record issues
    Strong organizational and workload-management skills
    Ability to protect sensitive employee and payroll information

    Base Salary Range: $50,000 – $100,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
