This role supervises staff, supports teaching teams, provides training and technical assistance, and helps ensure high-quality educational services for children and families.What You'll Do Plan, manage, and monitor Head Start education services to support compliance, school readiness, and continuous improvement.Supervise Center Coordinators and support hiring, evaluation, training, and personnel processes for assigned staff.Coordinate with program leadership, Policy Council, parents, center staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized services.Provide classroom consultation, technical assistance, and program support to teaching staff.Compile and analyze data for reporting, planning, and program improvement.Represent the program in community meetings, collaborations, and partnerships.Maintain confidentiality and conduct all work professionally and respectfully.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent discipline required; Master's degree preferred.Minimum three years of related experience required; five years preferred.Experience in curriculum planning, teacher training, and employee supervision required.Strong communication, organization, coordination, liaison, and record‑keeping skills.Ability to work effectively with families, staff, community partners, and professional groups.Administrative, grant, computer, spreadsheet, and child assessment database experience preferred.Ability to track and analyze data for continuous program improvement.Requirements State Bureau of Identification and DHHS Child Protective Services record checks required before employment.Valid driver's license, adequate automobile insurance, and/or reliable transportation required.Must maintain confidentiality regarding client and agency information.Within 30 days of hire, must provide required documentation, including health statement, TB test, immunization records, motor vehicle record check, proof of insurance, and college degree.Rate of pay will be dependent upon experience and other qualifications.Benefits This full-time, benefits‑eligible position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance; employer‑paid life and disability insurance; professional development support; paid vacation and sick/personal time; 13 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays; and a 403(b)-retirement plan with agency contribution after one year.Equal Opportunity Employer Midcoast Maine Community Action is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
