This role is responsible for driving lead conversion, optimizing sales processes, and elevating overall sales performance through strong leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration.This is a highly hands‑on leadership role. The ideal candidate is a “roll up your sleeves” operator who can step into communities, conduct deep‑dive diagnostics across all sales activities, identify gaps and opportunities, and implement actionable solutions to improve performance and results.The Director of Sales will oversee the internal call center, sales training initiatives, competitive analysis, and a team of sales specialists, while developing and implementing strategic plans to increase occupancy and revenue.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to improve lead conversion and drive occupancy growth across the portfolioLead and manage the internal call center to ensure best‑in‑class response times, engagement, and tour setting performanceOversee and enhance sales training programs, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to elevate team performanceManage and mentor regional and/or specialized sales teams, fostering accountability and a high‑performance cultureConduct ongoing competitive analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and go‑to‑market strategiesPartner with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to align sales initiatives with broader business objectivesAnalyze CRM data and sales metrics to identify trends, optimize funnel performance, and drive continuous improvementImplement and standardize sales processes, tools, and best practices across the organizationTravel to communities to assess sales performance, conduct detailed audits of lead management, follow‑up, and conversion practices, and deliver clear, actionable plans to resolve issues and improve outcomesSupport new community openings, repositioning efforts, and portfolio‑wide initiativesCANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related fieldExperience and SkillsMinimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience, with significant leadership responsibilityExperience in senior living, hospitality, or multi‑family housing across a multi‑site or large portfolio environment is a plusProven track record of driving revenue growth and improving conversion ratesExperience managing inside sales teams or call centersDeep understanding of CRM systems and data‑driven sales strategiesDemonstrated success in training, coaching, and developing high‑performing teamsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsWhat We're Looking ForStrategic thinker with a hands‑on, execution‑focused leadership styleA problem‑solver who thrives in the field and can quickly diagnose challenges and implement solutionsResults‑driven with a strong sense of accountability and ownershipAbility to balance big‑picture strategy with day‑to‑day executionPassion for building teams, improving systems, and driving measurable outcomesWork EnvironmentThis position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and requires an in‑office presence five days per week when not traveling.
