Direct Support Professional (DSP) Duties & Responsibilities

• 
  Direct Support Professionals create long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. 
• 
  They follow the Individual Support Plan, engage in activities such as park visits and sensory gardens, and work on social and communication skills. 
• 
  They assist with daily living activities, personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, fostering independence and enhancing individuals' lives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• 
  Related experience is helpful. 
• 
  Driver's license is required for community-based homes. 
• 
  A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferred. 
• 
  Additional certifications may be required.
• 
  Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
