ProSidian Seeks a Personnel Assistance Daily Living Support Specialist (PAS3) [Key Personnel | Program Manager - Non-Exempt 874-1 Consultant] located across the US to provide Energy/Power Sector related Management And Operations Solutions for Personal Assistant Services (PAS) on behalf of US Department of Energy (DOE). These services are considered part of The ProSidian Energy, Infrastructure, And Environment Sector Group with overall focus being Energy, Infrastructure, And Environment (EIE) Sector Group: Tailored Solutions To Meet Global Needs And Manage Resources across Energy, Infrastructure, And Environment In A Changing Environment. for clients such as The Department of Energy (DOE).
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daily Living Support Specialist to provide critical assistance to employees with targeted disabilities within the Department of Energy (DOE). As a Daily Living Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities perform activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and independence during work hours and work-related travel. Your commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive work environment will contribute to DOE's mission of attracting, retaining, and supporting employees with disabilities.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Provide personal assistance services (PAS) to employees with targeted disabilities during work hours and work-related travel.
- Assist individuals with disabilities in performing activities of daily living, such as eating, drinking, dressing, toileting, transferring, and walking/mobility.
- Accompany individuals to navigate facilities, including assisting with restroom use, vehicle transfers, and mobility.
- Assist with adjusting and operating workstations, government equipment/technology, and assistive technology software applications.
- Offer sighted guidance to individuals with blindness and low vision, including reading documents, providing verbal descriptions, and orienting them to surroundings.
- Collaborate with individuals to provide wheelchair assistance, retrieve work materials, and pack/unpack items.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of all interactions and materials handled.
Desired qualifications for Daily Living Support Specialist (PAS3) | Key Personnel | Program Manager - Non-Exempt 874-1 Consultant candidates:
- At least two years of experience working with people with disabilities in a professional environment (e.g., academic, government, medical).
- Familiarity with DOE software applications and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
- Experience with guiding individuals who are blind or have low vision.
- Knowledge of various lifting techniques to transfer individuals safely.
- Familiarity with disability-related assistive technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Compliance with all DOE required trainings for Contractors.

The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
