Customer Service Representative

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Representative on behalf of our client in Batavia, Ohio. This is a first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and supporting customers in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Batavia, OH

Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

The Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing support through phone, email, and online communication channels. This role focuses on order management, customer account support, issue resolution, and maintaining a positive customer experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer inquiries regarding orders, products, account information, and service requests
• Process orders, updates, cancellations, and customer account changes accurately
• Communicate with customers via phone and email to provide timely updates and solutions
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns while maintaining a high level of professionalism
• Coordinate with internal departments including operations, shipping, and accounting to ensure customer needs are met
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions within company systems
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate delays or issues
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-up

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to customer satisfaction
• Reliable attendance and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing, distribution, or business-to-business environment
• Familiarity with order entry, order processing, or account management
• Experience using ERP, CRM, or customer service software platforms
