    Culinary Assistant/Server

    York Gardens Senior Living is proud to be part of the vibrant Edina, MN community. Our senior living is conveniently located near public transportation and the crossroads of Highways 100, I-35W and I-494. We have 76 Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care apartments in a warm, friendly, convenient community.

    64 hours in two weeks, Day shifts and includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.

    Week 1: Mon, Wed &, Fri - 7am-3:30pm

    Week 2: Mon, Wed, Thur, Sat & Sun - 7am-3:30pm

    Ebenezer is hiring a Culinary assistant/Server!. This food services position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents in our Assisted Living/Memory Care building.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
    • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
    • Offers resident meal choices and meets resident's specific dietary needs.
    • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
    • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
    • Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
    • Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
    • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
    • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
    • Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
    • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
    • Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
    • Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
