Location: Mishawaka, IN

Job Type: W2 Contract

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Onsite

Pay Range: $23 to $25 per hour

Job Description:

Pay Rate: $23-$25/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with overtime opportunities

Duration: Contract position with strong potential for extension

Position Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused professional to serve as the primary point of contact for customers while supporting branch service operations. This role is responsible for handling inbound calls, creating work orders, processing payments, and coordinating service-related activities while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, solid computer proficiency, and either automotive, technical, or mechanical knowledge. This individual will work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, document service activities, and support efficient branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and in person, building positive customer relationships.
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries and provide timely updates on service requests and work order status.
  • Create, update, and maintain work orders within internal systems.
  • Process customer payments and ensure accurate transaction documentation.
  • Gather customer information and assess service needs to facilitate effective issue resolution.
  • Document customer, equipment, and service information accurately within service management systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting activities by documenting customer concerns and supporting diagnostic processes.
  • Review and maintain service records to ensure accurate tracking of repairs and service history.
  • Coordinate with technicians, service teams, and other stakeholders to support timely service delivery.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately while maintaining clear communication with customers.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service, administrative, automotive, technical support, or related experience.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive, diesel, mechanical, or technical service knowledge.
  • Experience creating work orders, processing payments, or coordinating service activities.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting processes, diagnostics, or service documentation.
  • Experience working in a service center, dealership, repair facility, or technical support environment.
