    About the initiative

Mabuhay Gardens is a storied cultural venue with a legendary history. The building has hosted performances by legends including Louis Armstrong, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Dead Kennedys, Iggy Pop, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Specials, Metallica, GunsN' Roses, Herbie Hancock, R.E.M., Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Soundgarden, Bad Religion, Dave Chappelle, and many others. Via CrowdDoing, we are regenerating the Mab as a hybrid cultural ecosystem: live music, dance, comedy, rentals, popup culinary lab, off-peak wellness partnerships, art-walkactivations, and solarpunk / regenerative-culture programming.

The Mab hosts off-peak wellness programming — sound baths, yoga, breathwork, movement — in the hours a room like this would otherwise sit empty. We're looking for someone who can connect with corporate wellness coordinators and workplace-wellness vendors and help bring their programming into that space, matching what companies actually want for their people with what the room can hold.

    ## The puzzle

There's a quietly interesting matching problem here: rooms and wellness practices both have rhythms, and almost nobody thinks carefully about whether a given room's rhythm actually suits a given practice's rhythm. Corporate wellness programs and physical rooms rarely find each other easily — wellness coordinators default to whatever office space or generic studio they already use, and off-peak room hours go unused. The puzzle this role solves is a discovery and matching problem: connecting corporate wellness coordinators and vendors to a room built for exactly this kind of programming, during hours that would otherwise go to waste.

    ## What you'll do

You'll tend a defined slice of the corporate-wellness relationship building — enough to build real relationships in your first month, without carrying the whole venture.

    - **Contact identification** — Identify corporate wellness coordinators inside companies and workplace-wellness vendors whose programming (sound baths, yoga, breathwork, movement, and similar practices) could fit the Mab's off-peak hours.

    - **Relationship building** — Reach out and build genuine relationships with these contacts, understanding what they're already offering and what would help them offer more.

    - **Social listening for collaboration moments** — Watch the social media accounts, newsletters, and community feeds of workplace-wellness vendors and adjacent wellness communities to spot upcoming programming and moments where the Mab could naturally weave in as a collaborator rather than a stranger.

    - **Fit and scheduling conversations** — Talk through how a wellness practice would actually work in the space — timing, format, capacity — before anything moves toward commitment.

    - **AI-assisted research and relationship writing** — Use LLM tools to research wellness coordinators and vendors, draft warm introductory notes, and summarize conversations into clean notes.

    - **Introduction to the producing team** — Bring promising contacts to Mabuhay's producing team with the context needed to move into scheduling and logistics.

    - **Relationship tracker** — Keep a simple, current record of who you've connected with, what they offer, and where things stand. A short weekly note is enough.

    ## Who this role is for

We're looking for someone who can contribute meaningfully from week one — not a senior wellness-industry executive, not an assistant. Somebody with real, demonstrable skill in **at least two** of the following, and curiosity about the rest:

    - Experience in corporate wellness programs, workplace wellness vendors, or wellness practice coordination

    - Relationship-building or partnership development with practitioners or vendors

    - Familiarity with wellness modalities (sound, movement, breathwork, yoga) and how they translate into a physical space

    - Writing warm, well-researched relationship notes that respect practitioners' time

    - Lightweight CRM / relationship-tracking discipline (spreadsheets, Notion, Airtable, or similar)

    - Comfort with AI-assisted research and relationship-writing workflows (any current LLM tool)

    - Genuine curiosity about how physical space shapes wellness practice, rather than a purely scheduling-driven interest in filling off-peak hours

    - Comfort watching social media, community feeds, and newsletters with a listening ear rather than a promotional one

You'll thrive here if you understand both corporate wellness priorities and practitioner realities, enjoy matching underused time and space to programs that need it, and like connecting people who genuinely benefit each other.

    ## Why do this

    - **The problem matters.** A room's off-peak hours are a resource that usually goes to waste, and corporate wellness programs are usually underserved by generic spaces. Matching the two well benefits everyone involved.

    - **The stakes are real.** The wellness coordinators and vendors you connect with will run actual sessions, for actual participants, on actual schedules. This is not a simulation.

    - **The craft is subtle, and it will sharpen your attentiveness.** You'll have to develop a real feel for a room's rhythm — light, sound, flow, pace — and hold it against a practice's actual needs rather than its stated ones. That kind of environmental attentiveness is rarely built on purpose, and it transfers well beyond this role.

    - **The room is legendary.** You're helping regenerate a venue where legends across music, comedy, poetry, and cultural experimentation performed.

    - **You'll work alongside people who care, across a much wider map than this room.** You'll collaborate asynchronously with CrowdDoing's global network of volunteers — people working on wildfire prevention finance, herbal medicine research, and regenerative computing — through shared written updates, shared docs, and async check-ins. You will likely never meet most of them in person, and you'll still learn from how they think. That cross-pollination between wildly different fields is not a side benefit of this role. It's the point.

    ## Time commitment & structure

    - Flexible, part-time, mostly asynchronous

    - Ongoing commitment, renewable

    - Onboarding via CrowdDoing's standard volunteer orientation

    ## How to apply

Send a short note (5–8 sentences is plenty) covering:

    1. Which 2–3 areas above you can contribute in immediately, with one specific example of past work (a wellness program you've been part of, a vendor relationship you built, a practitioner partnership you coordinated)

    2. One corporate wellness coordinator or vendor type you'd want to connect with for Mabuhay Gardens in your first month, and why

    3. Your available hours per week and time zone

No cover letter theater. Show us how you think about matching space to practice.
