    Controls Manager

    A rapidly growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Controls Manager to lead its Controls Department.

    This established organization operates from a state-of-the-art facility and has increased annual revenue from approximately $30 million to $120 million in three years. The Controls Manager will receive strong support from senior leadership while overseeing engineering resources, control-system architecture, product development, programming, testing, and continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities
    • All Controls Department engineering activities will be managed, including resource planning, design, innovation, implementation, and testing.
    • Technical direction will be provided for control-system architecture, software architecture, standards, procedures, and documentation.
    • Engineering workloads, production schedules, and project deadlines will be coordinated.
    • Production, testing, and programming processes will be evaluated and improved.
    • Technical problems and process deviations will be investigated and resolved.
    • Daily department operations and employee performance will be overseen.
    • Communication will be maintained with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and employees.
    • A clean and organized workplace will be maintained through 5S standards.
    Qualifications
    • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field is required.
    • Engineering leadership or management experience must be demonstrated.
    • Proficiency in electrical wiring, technical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting must be demonstrated.
    • Experience with Allen-Bradley, IDEC, GE, or similar PLC platforms is preferred.
    • Experience with building-control systems such as Johnson Controls, Carrier, Robertshaw, Landis & Gyr, or CSI is preferred.
    • Knowledge of UL standards and electrical safety requirements must be maintained.
    • Familiarity with multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and related tools must be demonstrated.
    • Strong organizational, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities must be demonstrated.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software, and business systems is required.
