Job Description

Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates for restaurant, retail, fitness center, and commercial renovation projects.

Analyze drawings, specifications, scope documents, and project requirements to develop accurate project budgets.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing across all trade divisions.

Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.

Collaborate closely with project executives, operations teams, and leadership throughout the preconstruction process.

Review value engineering opportunities and identify cost-saving solutions.

Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing for repeat clients and negotiated projects.

Maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships while tracking current market pricing.

Support multiple projects simultaneously ranging from $1M to $5M in construction value.

Contribute to a collaborative estimating department consisting of experienced construction professionals.

The Successful Applicant

7+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor.

Strong experience estimating restaurant construction projects is required.

Additional experience with retail, fitness center, hospitality, or commercial interior projects is highly preferred.

Thorough understanding of all construction trade divisions and associated scopes of work.

Experience preparing estimates for projects ranging from approximately $1M to $5M.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.

Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrated career stability and long-term employment history.

Ability to work full-time onsite in Lanham, Maryland.
