Lead Commissioning Manager

Lead commissioning activities for new construction and retrofit projects, including functional testing, issue identification, and documentation. Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify alignment with project requirements and design intent. Develop detailed commissioning plans and coordinate activities with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and facility representatives. Conduct on-site system testing, equipment evaluations, and field investigations-often accessing equipment in challenging or high-elevation locations. Produce clear, professional commissioning reports summarizing findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for stakeholders. Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and related building systems to resolve technical issues. Attend commissioning meetings, owner walkthroughs, system startups, and field demonstrations to validate performance. Support business development efforts through technical input for proposals, presentations, and interviews.

A successful Commissioning Manager should have:

• 5+ years of commissioning, MEP, HVAC, BAS, or related technical engineering experience.
• Degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including experience reviewing trended data and system performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with Bluebeam, Visio, or VBA is a plus).
• Ability to pass federal background checks and drug screening; valid driver's license.
• US Citizenship (required for federal project access).

Salary: $115K-$130K depending on experience. Bonus: 0-20% annual performance bonus, with potential for higher earnings for top performers. Travel: All project-related travel expenses fully covered.
