JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dependable entry-level Cleaning Technician 1 to join our team. This role is responsible for helping maintain clean, safe, and organized environments for our clients. No prior professional cleaning experience is required, as training will be provided. The Cleaning Technician 1 will perform basic cleaning tasks under supervision while learning and following company standards and procedures.

Physical Plant and Safety

• Assure safe working conditions and practices for associates.

• Adhere to OSHA standards ensuring that the physical site is maintained and immediately address areas of concern.

• Practice standard precautions and other appropriate infection control practices.

Contact with Others

• Develop and cultivate positive relationships with vendors and customers to develop and foster continued business relationships.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors

• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures

• Empty trash and replace liners

• Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors)

• Maintain cleanliness in breakrooms and common areas

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles and light switches

• Refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)

• Follow assigned cleaning schedules and checklists

• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS:

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided

• Reliable and punctual

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines

• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–50 lbs as required

• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks using hands, arms, and upper body

• Operate standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, tools, etc.)

• Work in a variety of environments, including commercial buildings and client sites

• Move safely between rooms, floors, and job sites

• Maintain physical activity throughout the duration of a shift

Work Environment

• Primarily focused on hands-on cleaning tasks under supervision

• Work performed in commercial and/or client-based settings such as offices, facilities, and shared spaces

• May involve indoor and occasional outdoor work depending on job site requirements

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying environmental conditions

• Frequent interaction with team members, supervisors, and occasionally clients

• May require early morning, evening, overnight, or weekend shifts depending on scheduling needs
