Concrete - Masonry - Foundations Chief Estimator Needed
Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced Concrete Construction Chief Estimator in its Essex County, NJ office. They are seeking an individual with 5 + years experience in estimating vertical commercial concrete work. Individual must be organized, detail-oriented and have excellent communications and quantitative skills. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a fast-paced, growth oriented company while working on high visibility projects.
This role is ideal for a current Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager, or Chief Estimator with extensive experience pricing concrete and masonry work, building client relationships, and securing new projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all estimating and preconstruction efforts for concrete and masonry projects.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs, budgets, and bid proposals.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Utilize On-Screen Takeoff and/or Bluebeam for estimating and takeoffs.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, and owners.
- Help secure new work and expand existing client relationships.
- Mentor and oversee estimating staff.
- Collaborate with operations and executive leadership on project pursuits.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of estimating experience within the concrete and masonry industry.
- Current or recent experience as a Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager, or Chief Estimator.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and win work.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Strong knowledge of the NYC Metro construction market.
- Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and/or Bluebeam.
- Stable work history with 4+ years at recent employers preferred.
