- Central Service Technician CST

CSTs will be responsible for the overall cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, case cart pulling, assembly, packaging, restocking supplies, and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for surgical procedures in surgery and related departments such as Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Inpatient Units, Clinic Units, and Emergency Department. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or a certificate confirming successful completion of sterile processing course.

Shift Details:

Central Service Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  CSTs will be responsible for the overall cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, case cart pulling, assembly, packaging, restocking supplies, and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for surgical procedures in surgery and related departments such as Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Inpatient Units, Clinic Units, and Emergency Department. 
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Current, valid, and unrestricted New York  license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  
• 
  Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in a community-based acute care hospital as a CST
  
• 
  Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or a certificate confirming successful completion of sterile processing course
  
• 
  AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City Fire), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.
  
• 
  Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  
• 
  Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
