• Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawaii may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular Board of Regents (BOR) and Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Full-time/Part-time: Part-time, no more than 19 hours/week

Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin November 2026 or soon thereafter. Not to exceed one year.

Duties:

• Serve in game management capacity at scorers table for hosted athletic competitions.
• Scorekeeping, statistics, and/or scoreboard operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a baccalaureate degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated.
• Two (2) years of experience in sports information.
• Proficient knowledge of collegiate sports rules, protocols, game operations, and statistics.
• Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, or holidays.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Great vision, good listening skills, and a spectacular attitude.
• Maintain poise and composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior NCAA experience.
