Job DescriptionJob Title:Automotive Service EstimatorLocation:2190 Church Road, Arnold, United States, 63010Job Overview: World class, team-first culture and work environment, where your growth is prioritized, you are valued, and you are loved!As an Automotive Estimator with Christian Brothers Automotive, you will play a critical role in our automotive shop as a key repair order builder, ensuring that every guest receives top-notch service and their vehicle is repaired to the highest standards. With your excellent communication and organizational skills, you will coordinate with technicians, build detailed estimates including parts and labor components using industry resources and repair proceedures, answer guest inquiries, and maintain an organized repair log to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. You will also handle third-party warranty work, handle parts check ins, returns, and parts reconcilliations. You will also manage all quick service tickets, including waiters, as well as all phone quotes.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Reviews all digital vehicle inspections by technicians, using them to build detailed estimates / repair ordersBuild detailed repair orders / estimates including parts and labor components using industry resources and repair proceeduresInterface with technicians on each ticket to ensure approprate labor times and parts/proceedures for each repair order so that the repair order can be presented accurately and in a timely manner to the guestManage all quick service tickets, including waiters, as well as all phone quotesMaintains an organized and up-to-date repair logAnswers customer inquiries and prepares estimates for our guestPresent the best solution to properly repair our customer's vehicles in a way that is easy for them to understandEnsure that all work is performed to proper specifications and within the time promised to the guestBuild relationships with part supply vendors, tool vendors, and all external vendors effectivelyPrioritize technician workloads with part availabilityPrepares a list of needed service department equipment, supplies, and required repairs - reviews service department repairs with the Service ManagerCoordinates and schedules maintenance for shop equipmentResponsible for the part supply process, including inventory, pricing, returns, warranty claims, etc.Regularly interacts with external vendors on parts inventory and pricingWorks together as a team and assists other employees as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications:QualificationsQualifications:TekMetric software experience and knowledge is a huge plusStrong industry knowledge and ability to build complex tickets accurately and efficientlyDeep knowlege and experience estimating tickets involving third party warranties and the ability to navigate the third-party warranty processDeep undertstanding of parts ordering, returns, and reconciliationExcellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with technicians, guest, and other team members to ensure that everyone is on the same pageStrong organizational skills and problem-solving skills: Estimators are responsible for coordinating multiple work orders, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork. They must be highly organized to ensure that everything is completed accurately and on timeCustomer service skills: Must have strong customer service skills to answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and ensure that customers are satisfied with the work that is performed on their vehiclesProficient in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applicationsPrevious experience in an Automotive Sales, Advisor/Writer, or Estimator/Dispatcher position preferredPhysical Requirements:Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pmBeing on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environmentAdditional InformationChristian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
