We're looking for a talented Full‑Time Assistant Store Manager that will contribute to a profitable and customer‑centric environment through the development of a team and management of our total store operations. They will support product flow and apply merchant and customer service skills to curate a compelling in‑store experience.Customer ExperienceCultivate an environment of genuine customer connectionDemonstrate extraordinary service and act as a brand ambassador reflecting the company valuesFacilitate an energized pace, positive service environment, and team developmentDeliver high‑quality product services with attention to detail—such as branding, debossing, boot stretching, brim shaping, and boot shines—to ensure a premium customer experienceUnderstand an omni‑channel business—implement processes and utilize tools to better serve the customerLeadership & Team ManagementSupport the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talentSupport the Store Manager in creating and maintaining a succession strategyFoster a culture of strong communication and teamwork to ensure a seamless balance between operational, visual, and customer prioritiesProvide real‑time feedback, coaching, and training to team members, escalating issues as needed to the Store ManagerTraining & DevelopmentDeliver world‑class, in‑person training (in conjunction with e‑learning) to all new team membersEnsure timely completion of new‑hire training pathsMeet regularly with the Tecovas HQ Retail Training team or field leaders to check in on team progressSuggest improvements or new programs related to retail trainingEnsure compliance of all training activities with established policies and best practicesWork closely with store leadership to prepare, plan, schedule, and execute new‑hire trainingWork closely with store leadership and HQ partners to facilitate and organize ongoing training in store locations, including training for new products and servicesAttend regular training meetings to ensure understanding of necessary informationVisual MerchandisingProduce planning, presetting, and on‑time execution of visual directivesSubmit store photos as requested and complete feedback given by HQParticipate in visual training calls with HQ partners to support new product launchesPartner with store leadership team to ensure VM standards are upheld and replenishment tasks are completedSupport store presentation through sell‑through and markdown cyclesMaintain in‑store marketing elements and accurate presentation of store collateralWork with store manager to ensure schedule is reflective of visual set times for product launchesPartner with store leaders for new‑hire visual trainingOversee sales floor and windows to ensure proper lighting placement, store cleanliness, maintenance of window displays, and propsBusiness OperationsUphold and ensure compliance with shipments, transfers and restock standardsAdhere to and develop awareness around internal and external loss‑prevention proceduresSet clear objectives and expectations to drive a consistent store experience and ensure excellent operational and visual standardsEncourage and demonstrate adaptability; positively effecting change and enabling the team to successfully execute a shared visionQualifications3+ years of retail management experienceExceptional leadership, selling, and customer service skillsStrong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial resultsProven record of hiring and developing great talentExperience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolutionUtmost character, honesty, and transparencyRequirementsHigh‑school diploma required (college degree preferred)Must be at least 18 years of age or olderContinually able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, and be able to reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel as you organize and stock inventoryAbility to deliver excellent customer service while implementing loss‑prevention practicesAble to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and perform store maintenance tasksMust be able to reliably commute to and from the work locationMust be available to work 40 hours per week, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), evenings, and holidays as neededFull‑Time BenefitsInsurance plans that pay 79–90% of your health premium coverage and 100% of your dental and vision insurance coverage for your family/dependentsFree bootsHourly rate: $30 per hour.
