Job OverviewWe are looking for a talented full‑time Assistant Store Manager to support product flow and deliver an outstanding customer experience, while contributing to a profitable, customer‑centric environment through team development and total store operations management.ResponsibilitiesCustomer ExperienceCultivates an environment of genuine customer connectionDemonstrates extraordinary service and acts as a brand ambassador reflective of company valuesFacilitates an energized pace, positive service environment, and team developmentDelivers high‑quality product services with attention to detail—branding, debossing, boot stretching, brim shaping, and boot shines—to ensure a premium customer experienceUnderstands an OMNI Channel business—implements processes and utilizes tools to better serve the customerLeadership & Team ManagementSupports the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talentSupports the Store Manager in creating and maintaining a succession strategyFosters a culture of strong communication and teamwork to balance operational, visual, and customer prioritiesProvides real‑time feedback, coaching, and training to team members, escalating issues as needed to Store ManagerTraining & DevelopmentDelivers world‑class in‑person training (in conjunction with e‑learning) to all new team membersEnsures timely completion of new hire training pathsMeets regularly with the Tecovas HQ Retail Training team or field leaders to check in on team progressSuggests improvements or new programs related to retail trainingEnsures compliance of all training activities with established policies and best practicesWorks closely with store leadership to prepare, plan, schedule, and execute new hire trainingWorks closely with store leadership and HQ partners to facilitate and organize ongoing training in store locations, including new product and service trainingAttends regular training meetings to ensure understanding of necessary informationVisual MerchandisingProductive planning, presetting, and on‑time execution of visual directivesSubmits store photos as requested and completes feedback given by HQParticipates in visual training calls with HQ partners to support new product launchesPartners with store leadership team to ensure VM standards are upheld and replenishment tasks are completedSupports store presentation through sell‑through and markdown cyclesMaintains in‑store marketing elements and accurate presentation of store collateralWorks with store manager to ensure schedule reflects visual set times for product launchesPartners with store leaders for new hire visual trainingOversees sales floor and windows to ensure proper lighting placement, store cleanliness, maintenance of window displays, and propsBusiness OperationsUpholds and ensures compliance with shipments, transfers, and restock standardsAdheres to and develops awareness around internal and external loss prevention proceduresSets clear objectives and expectations to drive a consistent store experience and ensure excellent operational and visual standardsEncourages and demonstrates adaptability; positively effects change and enables the team to successfully execute a shared visionQualifications3+ years retail management experienceExceptional leadership, selling, and customer service skillsStrong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial resultsProven record of hiring and developing great talentExperienced in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolutionUtmost character, honesty, and transparencyRequirementsHigh school diploma required (college degree preferred)Must be at least 18 years of age or olderContinually able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, and be able to reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel as you organize and stock inventoryAbility to deliver excellent customer service while implementing loss‑prevention practicesAble to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and perform store maintenance tasksMust be able to reliably commute to and from the work locationMust be available to work 40 hours per week, including weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), evenings, and holidays as neededBenefitsInsurance plans that pay 79‑90% of your health premium coverage and 100% of your dental & vision insurance coverage for your family/dependentsFree bootsHourly RateThe hourly rate for this position is $31 - $35.
