If you want to help people make healthy choices at one of the fastest growing retailers, we need you to join Sprouts Farmers Market as an Assistant Deli Manager.Overview of ResponsibilitiesAs the Assistant Deli Manager, you will help customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service, managing, and leading one of the busiest teams in our store.Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.Order and control inventory, ensure product quality, and supervise the Deli team.Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product and the highest level of service.Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, and verify that other team members are also aware of and following these procedures.Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.QualificationsMinimum 18 years old with at least 2 years of supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.Dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to give and receive direction in a team environment.Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude, able to interact with customers, take special orders, and answer phones.Proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, and knowledge of personnel, margin, and sales reporting.Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.Food Safety certification and knowledge of federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, safety, weights and measures, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.Able to lift/carry product horizontally or vertically up to 70 lbs., from 4” to 60”, for a distance up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.Must be able to stand continuously for 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift.Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; maintain all equipment in safe working condition.Perform other related duties as assigned.Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is $19.50 – $29.15 per hour, determined by applicable experience and qualifications.BenefitsCompetitive paySick time plan for you and your immediate familyVacation accrual planOpportunities for career growth15% discount on purchases for you and one additional family memberFlexible schedulesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) retirement savings plan with generous company matchCompany‑paid life insuranceContests and appreciation events throughout the year with prizes, food, and funEligibility Requirements May Apply For The Following BenefitsBonus based on company and/or individual performanceAffordable benefit coverage (medical, dental, vision)Health Savings Account with company matchPre‑tax Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare and dependent careCompany‑paid short‑term disability coveragePaid parental leave for both mothers and fathersPaid holidaysDailyPaySprouts offers DailyPay, allowing you to transfer earned money at no extra cost, next business day, for free.
