Job Description
Position Title: Assembler
Wage: $17.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm; Mandatory Overtime as Needed
Whether you are looking to get your start in manufacturing, or have some experience, this is the position for you! QPS Employment is looking for Assemblers for a 1st shift opportunity in Beaver Dam. This is a chance to get in with a top employer in the area and continue your career!
Assembler Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements for Assembler:
- Able to occasional lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend up to 10 hours a day
- Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms up to 10 hours a day
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Able to follow instructions and work at a consistent pace
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
