Air Forwarding Operator / Coordinator (45901-5) A. Performing Logistics Processes1. Investigates and plans the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account theperishable or hazardous nature of goods, cost, transit time and security2. Arranges appropriate packing, taking into account the climate, terrain, weight, cost and nature ofgoods and the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination3. Negotiates contracts, transportation and handling costs4. Obtains, checks and prepares documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements,packing specifications, and compliance with other countries' regulations and fiscal regimes5. Offers consolidation services by air, sea and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions tosmall shippers who have insufficient cargo to require their own dedicated units6. Arranges insurance and assists the client in the event of a claim7. Arranges courier and specialist hand-carry services8. Coordinates with Customs Broker and/or US Customs House as needed9.
