Are you an expert in strategic sourcing with a knack for negotiation and supplier management? We are looking for a dynamic Category Leader to join our team in the vibrant Bay Area, specifically Oakland, CA. This is a hybrid role, allowing you the flexibility to work both remotely and in-office, with a requirement to be onsite 3-5 days a month based on business needs.

As a Category Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing sourcing spend categories, developing strategic plans, and fostering relationships with key suppliers. Your expertise will drive cost savings and service excellence across software, hardware, and telecom categories.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 7 years of experience in supply chain or related field
• 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings
• Experience managing software, hardware, and/or telecom contracts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight

Preferences:

• Master's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
• ISM-CPSM Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Experience in contract management
• Knowledge of database and information systems such as SAP, ERP, etc.
