Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Adult and Career Technology Education, provide an educational program and teach one or more classes of Carpenter Trades. Provide extensive expertise, instructional support and training related to the Building Trades and Construction industry occupation(s) as part of a program of study based on state adopted Career Technical Education (CTE) standards for the Building Trades and Construction industry. Work collaboratively with students, support staff, administrators, business agencies and community groups to enhance the training and employment opportunities for students. Emphasize social and interpersonal skills related to career direction and vocational training. Teach a variety of construction skills such as use of basic hand and power tools, framing and building techniques, reading and interpretation of blueprints, building codes and safety regulations. Inform students in standard lumber, engineered lumber, nails, fasteners, sheathing, materials and various other building materials that are utilized in the construction industry. Provide students with an understanding of construction math practices that are commonly used in the industry. Fall Term - October 6 - December 17, 2026 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm (2 days/week - T/TH)
