Working directly with the Director of MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement), the Administrative Assistant I plays an integral role in the success of all MESA-related service provisions. The aim of this grant-funded program is to assist eligible under-represented students in the STEM fields by helping them to prosper in STEM courses at Merced College and successfully transfer to four-year institutions in STEM-based fields. The objective of the MESA program is to increase the number of under-represented students in the STEM fields. As this is a growing program at Merced College, this position requires initiative, resourcefulness, effective communication with multiple stakeholders (especially students), organization, record-keeping, and a basic understanding of budgeting. Interview Information:
