Are you an experienced accountant looking to apply your skills in the construction industry? Our client, a growing local construction company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their team.
What You'll Do:
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform job costing, track project budgets, and monitor profitability.
- Prepare progress billings, change orders, and retainage calculations.
- Reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate reporting of project finances.
- Support tax filings and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, QuickBooks Contractor).
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Work with a respected local construction company.
