Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this position will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, cost accounting functions, financial reporting,and ongoing accounting operations. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and works closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this position will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, cost accounting functions, financial reporting,and ongoing accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support costing activities, including inventory, labor, and manufacturing cost analysis
• Analyze variances and assist with reporting on operational and financial performance
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
• Support inventory accounting and periodic inventory reconciliations
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure accurate cost tracking
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience required
• Experience with month-end close and cost accounting strongly preferred
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
