A growing Dayton-based company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Analyze account activity and provide explanations for variances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–4 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills and experience working within an ERP or accounting system
