Job Description

Med-Scribe is partnering with an optical practice to identify an experienced Optician to join their team in Niagara County. This is a great opportunity for an Optician seeking a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend hours, with flexibility for part-time or full-time employment. The ideal candidate will be available at least 3-4 days per week, with full-time candidates also considered.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting customers with frame, lens, and eyewear selections based on their needs and prescriptions
• Measuring, fitting, adjusting, and repairing eyeglasses and completing eyewear/contact lens orders
• Performing pre-testing/lensometry and assisting patients with contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Processing payments, maintaining accurate patient and order records, and following insurance and lab requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked optical area while providing exceptional customer service

Job Requirements

• Associate degree in Vision Care/Ophthalmic Dispensing preferred, with appropriate certifications and/or licensure
• Previous optical and/or retail sales experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
