We are seeking a Design Specialist II to support the development of mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, and systems in a production-focused environment. In this role, you will create detailed 3D models and fully associated drawings using Creo, ensuring designs meet performance, integration, and manufacturability requirements. Youll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to translate concepts into practical, build ready designs while preparing drawing packages aligned with industry and military standards. Responsibilities also include performing tolerance studies, basic design calculations, and evaluating designs for fit, function, and production feasibility.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands on experience with heavy mechanical systems and fabrication methods such as welding and machining, along with a deep understanding of model based design practices. You will review and refine drawings and documentation, identify design issues, and recommend improvements to enhance quality and performance. Success in this role requires advanced Creo proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to solve moderately complex technical challenges while supporting a collaborative, fast paced engineering environment.
Compensation: $42.00/hr
