Job Description

Med-Scribe, Inc. is recruiting for a full-time, temp-to-hire Medical Biller in Newark, NY. You'll process claims, post payments and help resolve outstanding balances for a nonprofit healthcare organization. If you have experience in medical billing, accounts receivable or a combination of both, we'd like to hear from you. Schedule and benefits

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Office-based in Newark, NY
• $21/hour
• Benefits package includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, a Health Savings Account, paid time off and paid holidays

What you will do

• Process medical claims and resolve clearinghouse rejections and denials
• Post charges and payments, monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Work with insurance companies to resolve disputed claims and processing issues
• Communicate with clients about billing and payments
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets and prepare billing reports

Job Requirements

• Two years of experience in accounts receivable is highly preferred
• Previous Medical Billing experience is highly preferred
• NYS Driver's License is required
