PGS Worldwide is seeking a Microelectronics Assembly Inspector in Manassas, Virginia for an approximately six-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform detailed microscope inspection of wafers, die, and microelectronic modules in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Experience performing detailed visual inspection using microscopes for extended periods.
Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing, electronics, microelectronics, or similar environment.
Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Strong hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed precision work.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to follow documented manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes and obtain required process certifications.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
Perform visual inspection of wafers, die, and microelectronic modules using high- and low-magnification microscopes.
Inspect components throughout the manufacturing process for quality and workmanship requirements.
Follow documented manufacturing procedures and Manufacturing Execution System ( MES) instructions.
Maintain product traceability and quality documentation.
Support component-assembly operations using automated and semi-automated equipment.
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
Maintain compliance with cleanroom protocols and quality standards.
Obtain and maintain required inspection and manufacturing-process certifications.
Cross-train in additional production areas as required.
