This role will take on a multitude of projects to support business needs by providing leadership and coordination for cross-functional switchgear / power distribution projects, ensuring alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer teams. The Project Manager drives project execution, manages risks and financial performance, facilitates stakeholder communication, and helps deliver high-quality solutions that support customer satisfaction and business objectives.
This role serves as a key hub of the project team, bringing together diverse functions to successfully deliver switchgear projects while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships. The team consists of multiple Project Managers who independently manage customer projects and report to a Project Management Manager, who provides leadership, resource prioritization, strategic direction, and support across the project portfolio. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when necessary.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience OR
· 2-year degree with 9+ years of experience OR
· Master's degree with 3+ years of experience

· Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operations

· Ability to interpret customer specifications, contracts, and project documentation
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
· Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, power generation, or engineered-to-order environment
· Able to clearly communicate with customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams
· Able to manage multiple projects, schedules, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously
· Able to coordinate and align diverse stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance
· Identifies issues, evaluates options, and drives resolution to keep projects on track
· Builds strong customer relationships and effectively manages expectations
· Takes responsibility for project outcomes and follows through on commitments
· Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
· Familiarity with factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and field installation processes
· Understanding of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications
· PMP certification or formal project management certification
· Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
· Experience managing large capital equipment or customer-specific engineered products
· Gains buy-in from teams that do not directly report to them
· Effectively handles competing priorities, scope changes, and stakeholder disagreements
· Comfortable presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders and customers
· Remains effective in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
· Seeks opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and project execution
· Helps develop less experienced project coordinators or team members
