Need an assist in navigating your next career move? You’re not alone. According to a recent CareerBuilder survey, 66% of job seekers wish they had access to a career advisor for professional guidance. Now, CareerBuilder is here to help. A new – and free — career coaching service is available to provide Black American job seekers with a free 45-minute coaching session.

This is a the latest offering in the 100,000 Careers initiative in partnership with BIN: Black Information Network, which strives to connect 100,000 Black community members with jobs that provide stability, important benefits, and a higher income.

How it works

As part of this program, job seekers can access career guidance via a complimentary coaching session to unlock their professional potential, giving Black job seekers the opportunity to meet with an expert within their industry to receive individually tailored advice and actionable feedback that aids their career growth.

During the one-on-one session, job seekers can ask questions, identify strengths, and define a career path that feels right for them including how to polish interview skills and increase chances of getting an offer. Participants will receive a personalized smart report, action items, and a video recording following the online session.

Exclusively offered to BIN listeners, job seekers will be matched with one of more than 5,000 coaches available using AI technology and expert matching based on responses from an initial questionnaire.

What people are saying

“We see the value and unlimited potential of Black workers and are thrilled to offer this hyper-personalized experience in hopes that this community will receive feedback relevant to their industry to help them either find a job filled with purpose or grow into their current role,” says Kristin Kelley, Chief Marketing Officer at CareerBuilder. “Careers start with mentors and support which is why expert coaching is one of the many ways that the 100,000 Careers platform can transform the way job seekers find a role,” she notes.

Tony Coles, Division President for iHeartMedia Multiplatform Group and President for Black Information Network: BIN, states, “The Black Information Network and CareerBuilder are committed to giving job seekers the tools and resources they need to stand out from the crowd.” He adds, “These sessions help match job seekers and experts to help you prepare for your interview.
