We are looking for a nurturing and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic early childhood education team and help foster a safe, enriching, and developmentally supportive environment for keiki in our care. This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting on the floor, lifting and carrying children and classroom materials, and occasional outdoor supervision.

You will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that encourages social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining strong communication with families and upholding licensing and safety standards.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Create and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning through play.</li><li>Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons using the Creative Curriculum.</li><li>Guide children in developing independence, self-help skills, and positive social behaviors.</li><li>Observe and assess children's development; document and share progress with families.</li><li>Maintain open, respectful, and proactive communication with parents and caregivers.</li><li>Ensure children’s safety and respond to emergencies following established procedures.</li><li>Maintain a clean and healthy classroom in accordance with licensing and health guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate with co-teachers, assistants, and support staff.</li><li>Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits required; AA or BA in ECE or a related field preferred.</li><li>At least 6 months of classroom experience working with preschool-age children.</li><li>Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).</li><li>Must meet all DHS licensing requirements and pass background checks.</li><li>Deep commitment to the well-being and development of young children.</li><li>Strong understanding of early childhood best practices and learning through play.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers.</li><li>Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and collaboration in a team environment.</li><li>Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor as needed.</li></ul><h2>Physical & Work Environment</h2><p>This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting on the floor, lifting and carrying children and classroom materials, and occasional outdoor supervision.
