<p/><div><h1><strong>Medical Billing & Follow-Up Representative - Temp/ Fully Remote</strong></h1><p><strong>Temp (3 to 6 months) | $23/hour | M-F 7:30am to 4pm Or 8am to 4:30pm CST</strong></p><p>We are partnering with a well-established organization in the Revenue Cycle Management industry seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Follow-Up Representative to join their team. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a variety of healthcare clients with a strong focus on claims resolution and payer follow-up.</p><hr/><h2><strong>Position Overview</strong></h2><p>This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of medical claims, including front-end billing, claim edits, denial management, and insurance follow-up. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Medicare and commercial payers, thrives in a production-based environment, and can independently resolve complex billing issues.</p><hr/><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Submit accurate claims in a timely manner across multiple payers</li><li>Identify and resolve claim edits and clearinghouse rejections</li><li>Perform denial management and appeals, including root cause analysis</li><li>Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ensure payment accuracy</li><li>Conduct insurance follow-up via payer portals and outbound calls</li><li>Coordinate primary and secondary billing</li><li>Research and resolve discrepancies in reimbursement</li><li>Maintain thorough and accurate account documentation</li><li>Work assigned queues and meet productivity expectations</li><li>Complete payment posting tasks including EOB batching and remittance corrections</li><li>Ensure correct usage of CARC/RARC codes and payer-specific denial codes</li><li>Perform payer remittance reconciliations</li><li>Communicate trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement to leadership</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>2+ years of medical billing, denial management, or insurance follow-up experience</li><li>Strong experience with:
