DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include: Providing analysis of forensically recovered digital evidence for criminal investigations; Procuring, maintaining, utilizing, and validating forensic digital imaging and forensic previewing hardware and software; Keeping all equipment up to date with the latest forensic software and firmware updates; Providing authoritative consulting on technology matters as related to criminal investigations conducted by FDLE and other law enforcement agencies as needed; Collecting, examining, preserving, documenting and analyzing Digital Evidence in criminal investigations by the FDLE or other law enforcement agencies as needed; Providing courtroom testimony related to this role as necessary; Authoring investigative reports and digital evidence reports to be used in case documentation and court proceedings; Assisting with the search and seizure of digital evidence on crime scenes, search warrants, and other criminal investigative activities; and. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to testify in court regarding forensic techniques utilized, evidence management procedures, and data recovered; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to use strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; Knowledge of and aptitude for working with computer systems, managing applications, computer networks and mobile device technologies; Knowledge of network security and computer intrusion techniques; Knowledge of current technologies, trends, and techniques; and.
