The ideal candidate will have expertise in the management of critically ill cardiovascular patients, including post-cardiac surgery care, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical circulatory support, intra-aortic balloon pump management, Impella management, VA and VV ECMO management, temporary ventricular assist devices, and pulmonary artery catheter interpretation. The CVICU is a high-acuity tertiary and quaternary care unit caring for complex cardiovascular surgical and medical patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, heart and lung transplantation, ECMO, and other critically ill cardiovascular patients.
